Walker's poems are deeply personal, drawing on his own experiences of loss and grief. He writes about the death of his father, the loss of his marriage, and the death of his friends. But his poems are not merely about loss. They are also about the process of healing and the ways in which we can find hope and meaning in the face of adversity.

Walker's language is spare and evocative, and his poems are filled with vivid imagery. He writes about the "blue shadows" of grief, the "heavy weight" of loss, and the "aching emptiness" of a broken heart. But he also writes about the "warm embrace" of memory, the "healing power" of time, and the "light" that can be found even in the darkest of times.

Driving With The Dead is a powerful and moving collection of poems that will resonate with anyone who has ever experienced loss or grief. Walker's poems are a testament to the power of language to heal and connect us, and they offer hope and comfort to those who are struggling to find their way through the darkness.
