In one poem, Thistle writes about the scars that he bears on his body and soul:

My scars are a map of pain, A reminder of what I've been through. But they're also a testament to my strength, To my ability to survive.

Thistle's poems are not only about pain and suffering, however. They are also about hope and healing. He writes about the power of love, the importance of community, and the strength of the human spirit.

In one poem, Thistle writes about how he found hope in the stars:

In the darkness of my despair, I looked up at the stars. And in their twinkling light, I found hope.

Scars and Stars is a powerful and moving collection of poems that will resonate with anyone who has ever struggled with adversity. Thistle's raw honesty and unflinching courage make this book a must-read for anyone seeking hope and inspiration.
